 My latest obsession- Peplum! From skirts to blouses the peplum look is taking over. I love how sophisticated it looks. Even when wearing a peplum skirt with a casual vest, it still screams elegance and style.

Instagram

Yip. I have jumped up on the Instagram band wagon. Now just because you have Instagram doesn't make you a photographer but it is fun to play around and experiment. Don't know what to take photo's of? I found a few photo challenges online that can give you some ideas of what to shoot. Enjoy!

Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels...

Ever had one of those months where you stop gymming, you keep eating and just let go. Then before you know it you climb on the scale and weight more than you everrrr have? That happened to me and I am over it!!! I am over feeling fat, over wearing black and oversized tops and having to avoid the mirror when im in my naked. This is the month where I start over and get back into shape. Winter is not an excuse to sit around and comfort eat. I am soo getting ready for summer now already. I want to feel comfortable in my skin and have that skinny feeling...

Heart Shaped Notes...

  I LOve heart shaped stuff.

 I found this tutorial on http://radlinccrafts.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html on how to fold heart shaped notes using ordinary A4 paper.

 

 

1. Start out with a piece of paper.  Fold in half lengthwise, and then again, so you have the paper folded in quarters.
2. Open up the last fold, and fold top corners to the center line.
3.  Open up the whole paper, and refold with a squash fold technique.
4. Fold up one of the edges that do not fall in the main triangle area (see picture for details)
5. Open up the sheet again, and invert the folded edge into the triangle.

 

6.  Refold the squashed triangle.  Turn over the paper.
7.  Fold in the top side edges of the paper to the center line.
8.  Fold down the top of the triangle, into the area voided by the side folds.
9.  Turn over the paper.
10.  Fold up the triangle leaves, turn the paper back over.
11.  Fold up the bottom corners of the paper.

12. Slip the folded bottom corner into the center triangle of the heart, repeat for the other bottom corner.
13.  Fold down the top leaves in a bit of an angle so it forms the top portion of the heart.
14. Fold and Slip in the tips of those leaves into the center triangle of the heart.

I repeated the pictures for these last steps, with some lines drawn on the edges for a clearer view.

Shopping at Clicks...

I love going toiletry shopping every month. There are always the nicest stuff I find. Yesterday I popped in at Clicks for my monthly supply of goodies and saw some nice stuff in the isles.

I looove cherry flavoured stuff!! So I did a little happy dance when I found Cherry Zam Buk. It is perfect for winter and only cost R4! I bought a few for my handbag, bathroom, car and bed side drawer.

The Essence brand has the nicest shades of nail polish for R19,95 each. I love their gold shade, their gun metal, dusty purple and black. They also brough out some shades of nude which I like a lot.

I don't like to spend too much on hair products as half the time they don't work for me. Clicks is now stocking Lee Stafford products. There is a product for absolutely everything. From beach blonde hair, to messy hair, to salt water hair spray and even something for hair that doesn't seem to grow past a certain length (That's me!) I am considering splurging R99,99 to buy this treatment and give it a go.

I am a big fan of Rimmel make up. Love their new eye shaddow palletes in the shape of the union jack and their latest lipstick by the one and only Kate Moss.

Love berry flavoured body wash. Nivea has brought out a cranberry one. Must try this out

New Girls is awesome!!

Get you cotton on

My newest shopping obsession is Cotton On. Ahh I love this store. It has all my kind of things in and I love that you can mix and match with soo many options and colours. They also stock Typo which has the best notebooks ever and cute little things for around the house. Me being a big journal and notebook freak went crazy when I saw all the different creative ones available. Rubi is another brand that is stocked which has awesome shoes, belts, scarves and accessories available too.
